Came on this tread a little late, but at a janitorial supply or some place like Pet's Mart they have a product called Simple solution, which is a enzyme that destroys odors. For years I used this product to kill odors in my rentals, when some one had a animal they didn't take care of. Plus went I had a dog guide for years, I would use it where he laid. RJ
