The great funny man: Stan Freiberg: put out a recording called "Green
Christmas" but that was in
the days long before the * green revolution. Stan's "Green Christmas" was an
expose` of the
commercialization of that festival so the * green was that of the greenback
dollar.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] going green for Christmas
Well I decided to go green for Christmas. I just purchased quite a few
strings of c7 led lights for the tree.
My wife and kids always liked the c7 size bulbs and we did use the 5w cool
bulbs. A few years ago I made a special heavy duty cord with a switch and
fuse in line. I first had a 7.5A fuse and a few years ago it blew so I had
to upgrade to a 10A. My daughter had about 150 lights on the tree. When it
was on you could feel the heat from all of the lights. After that I did
restrict her on the number of lights. The led lights that I just purchased
use 6 watts for 26 bulbs. So she can place 130 lights that will use the
power of six old style bulbs.
I also plan to upgrade the rope lights that they use outside.
Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous
with many resources for the blind.
