How about this one?

I have a heat pump installed in my garage. So that I don't have to
wait till the entire garage is at the temp necessary so I can either
walk on my tread mill or practice my drums, I installed a bracket on
the wall directly behind the place I stand on the tread mill and
behind the drum set. I then hung wind chimes on the two brackets. Now
I have a fan on a swivel base near the heat pump. Depending whether I
want to walk on the tread mil or play the drums, I can swivel the fan
in the direction of choice and listen for tinkling wind chimes. This
way the fan is sending conditioned air directly at the place most
advantageous for either action.

Until I thought of this it was a hard process to get the fan pointed
at the targeted place.
