our first house was a big ole place and in that old house a east facing bedroom which was only for guests as we were just married and had a 7 bedroom home. that one east bedroom on the second floor had no food or anything else to draw flies . but during the dead of winter. and we thought it because of so many windows facing east and it being warm in that room drew the flies. but again, dead of winter those flies are thicker than whatever but very weak. we could sweep up flies two or three times a week either dead or close to it.
