I tried the Arrow power shot pro electric stapler to fix the porch stair
treads. First I was showing it to my neighbor and by looks he was impressed.
I then decided to load and give it a test run. Very pleasantly surprised
with one objection.
It is light weight and easy to handle. Very easy to load and has a very long
heavy cord. The first staple that I fired did not go in all of the way. It
was probably to my limited strength in my hands and arms, so the next shot I
used my left hand on top to keep it tight to the surface. This resulted in
as perfect shot as can be expected. After I finished the first step I asked
my neighbor if he would like to try it. He got a little carried away with it
and when he got to the last step he asked me if I want to finish. He has one
of the old hand Arrow guns that is going to be recycled.
It also came with a nice case that shrinks when the unit is removed. Once it
is out and uncoiled it was a little more difficult to put it back in the
case. I also was able to store a package of staples inside.
It has a nice safety to prevent firing. Now here is the only dislike. When
the safety is taken off that thing will fire. To test it Charlie watched and
I held it waist high and fired. The 3/8" staple ended on the sidewalk about
13' feet away. All of my other pneumatic guns can not fire until it is
placed on the surface. Not a major problem just something to be aware.
It has a wire protection foot. When you slide the release forward two prongs
come out of the bottom to straddle a cable, nice feature.
There were no printed instructions with the unit. It was so easy to figure
out by touch.
