This is a question for anyone who has both the original rotomatic and the
newer model. I have the original model made around 1950 it has three
sections. The one that has the rotomatic measuring part. This is 13.5 inches
long with the 1 x 2 inch part that turns and a neural nut for locking. It
has a 1 and 2 foot extension bar set.
There is nothing wrong with this model just wondering if there significant
improvements that make the newer one favorable. I am getting pestered for
Christmas gift ideas.
I am also starting to hunt for a smaller router for hand work that has easy
bit and depth change. I occasionally use an old black and deckor that uses a
two wrench system and adjustment is awful. Don't want to spend a lot
because I think I used it four times in the past few years. Getting lazy and
don't want to remove the one from the table setup.
Please visit my home page; it is motivational, inspirational and humorous
with many resources for the blind.
