Scott, Several years ago I made a fuel tank for a replica T-bucket roadster out of a 7.5 gallon stainless steel pony beer keg. I used a scotch-bright pad and automotive polishing compound to clean it up and it came out beautifully. I am not talking about "cleaner-waxes, sealers, one step wax-polish just good old fashioned polishing compound. You may as they say pack a lunch because it could take a while but it is worth a shot.
