Scott,

Several years ago I made a fuel tank for a replica T-bucket roadster out of
a 7.5 gallon stainless steel pony beer keg. I used a scotch-bright pad and
automotive polishing compound to clean it up and it came out beautifully. I
am not talking about "cleaner-waxes, sealers, one step wax-polish just good
old fashioned polishing compound.
You may as they say pack a lunch because it could take a while but it is
worth a shot.
