Hi All

Well I have just completed my yearly inspection and termite spraying.

It took me about 3 hours to complete.

I first check all bearers and floor supports with a hammer banging them and
checking for a solid sound not a hollow sounding resonance.

After I am satisfied that everything is as it should be.

I put on my overalls and my chemical respirator gloves and goggles and a hat
for it is easy to either bump your head on something or head but a support
pier.

Mix up the chemical and start spraying making sure I spray the entry points
like the ends of main bearers and anything near a garden on the other side
of the Brick wall.

I spray along all main supports and under the suspended floor area.

I then spray all the ground under the house so it is poisoned and an area
which termites find uninviting.

I then come out from under the house and spray along the brick wall where
the main supports are sitting.

These have galvanised ant caps on them, they supposed to stop any intrusion
up through the bricks but I like to be sure I have covered as many entry
points as possible.

After this I wash down my spray unit for it is very dirty after dragging it
around under the house.

Clean down my respirator and wash my gloves put everything away.

Then go and have a long shower to remove any poison drift I have on me and
have a beer.

Another job completed.
