I tink the best thing for a kitchen floor is vinyl flooring that you can lay without seams. Especially in a kitchen, seams are an invitation for liquid spills to get under the flooring. It's not cheap. We just bought a 12x18 roll that cost about $500. We laid it ourselves, so if you need to hire someone, that will add more to the price. Also, most vinyl flooring should have underlayment under it, rather than getting glued to the floor itself. That added almost $100 to our job. Blessings, Tom

Hi, We need some recommendations for a new kitchen floor here. We have some kind of tile floor here, feels like vinyl, but it's all coming up now. We really don't know what to put in that'd be low maintenance and not over the top, as far as expense goes. Thanks.
