What I did for my shop vac, especially since I have it inside a noise reducing cabinet, is to make a special outlet for it. I got one of those single outlets that has a switch where the other outlet would normally go. You can wire it so the outlet is always hot or so the outlet is hot when the switch is thrown. I chose the second way and leave the vac plugged in all the time. When I want it to run, I flip the switch on the wall and the vac starts. You can mount the outlet anywhere. And if you don't feel like tapping the wiring, just put a plug on the end of the feed wire and plug it into existing outlets. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lenny McHugh" <[email protected]> To: "handyman-blind" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 26, 2009 3:48 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] auto switch and night light
