That's great, sounds like they did a fine job. Some times it nice too get something done by pro's, that do this kind of thing every day. I have been in the same boat, had a job done, was happy with it, and thought about just how long it would have taken me too have done the same job. Some times, it is good to get a job done right, and finished quickly. Talk later. Don

Hi All Well the guttering and down pipes have now all been replaced. It took two contractors half a day to complete this job, and clean up and remove all old guttering. I was surprised that they only used extension ladders and had not special lifting platform or anything like that. One guy was on the roof and one on the ground doing all the cutting. Again no special cutting equipment only a hack saw to do all the cutting. The guy that owned the business did all the cutting with his off spider on the roof measuring the distances required and passing them on below. All the corner joints are perfect and instead of external brackets the brackets are concealed. This guy has been installing guttering for 20 years and knows how to install and cut correctly. As requested they left me all the old galvanised brackets which after peeling off the paint on one of these is like new. They even put them in a new plastic bag for me. So there is another job completed, this time not by me but completed to satisfy, she who should be obeyed.
