I actually have a toy truck, I believe it is a car hauler type truck replica
that has the sound effects of a desel and when you back it up, it beeps like a
real truck would, complete with air break sounds.
It was one of those got to have things I got off QVC, even though I was well in
to my 40's, haha!

  Subject: [BlindHandyMan] back up sounds

I have a 2 year old who really wants to add back up noises to his remote
  controlled dump truck.

I was thinking, as an electronics engineer, that I could tap into the power
from the batteries and add some kind of circuit to make a little beep beep
while in reverse. Then I thought there is probably already such a device on
the market for real cars.although it probably runs off of 12 volts for a
real car. This has 4 C cells in it.

Anybody have any ideas for us as to how to make it go beep when it is in
  reverse?

  Thanks,

  David
