probably nothing much.
Go to the hardware store and get a quick lock kit.
It will have both sides of the doorknob, two keys, a possible hole saw
(doubt you'll need it unless your current set up is non standard.
After taking apart your old set up; You'll undo the screws, remembering
the pattern in which they were placed.
Then take the plunger or bolt off of the assembly, slide it and the plate
nto the space on the door edge, making sure the slope meets the door jam.
Then line the outside, or female side of the knob assembly up with the
holes in the plunger or spring bolt. You'll have to fiddle with it a bit.
When that is holding tentatively, line up the inside, (part that takes the
screws) (it should be a shorter mostly knob and flange piece) and place
the screws through into the piece for the outside of the door. Line them
up, tighten them mostly, and Put the screws into the bolt face plate into
the door edge. Tighten mostly and try it.
You may choose to replace the receiving plate and screws.
It will seem appearant when you are looking at eveything.
They come in chrome, brass, and chrome/brass as well. About $20.
