Lenny,
I've seen power supplies, wall warts if you like with a USB conector for that
purpose.
Most recently at "Nothing But Software" which sell lots of stuff that isn't
software of course.  The one I have also has a "cigaret lighter" socket on
the side along with the USB connector.  It's 12 volts at half an amp which
meets the USB power standard.

If you have trouble finding one, I can ask my wife if she can find
specific info on the one we bought.

That'd be a good gizmo for the mice to get.
