Dear Tom:
I would suggest that any coloring you may apply to white rubber stripping
will not remain in place for the duration. I jumped on to google and put in a
search for black rubber weather stripping, and I received a list of suppliers.
I would save the white stripping for another project and find some dark colored
rubber that comes that way from the factory.
