You can do this and see if it works. Raise the upper piece a fraction to get
the siding to snap in the lip better

  Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Loose Siding

  Hi all,

For quite some time now, a piece of vinyl siding on my house keeps detaching
from the piece of siding below it. I've gone up on my ladder several times
and popped it back in place with my hands. The last time, my brother
suggested using a zip tool to pop it back in place. I did so but this
morning my son told me it had popped off again. The thing I noticed the
last time I repaired the problem is that one end of the offending piece is
much looser than the other end and doesn't latch itself to the lower piece
of siding very well. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this problem?
Is there anykind of device that I could use that would lock the two pieces
of siding together but still allow them to contract and expand with changes
in temperature? I'm not one who likes to be twenty feet up on a ladder so
any permanent solutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

  Take care,

  Ed Przybylek
