Palm nailers are a bit hard to use with roofing nails but it can be done. I have a couple of them and as long as you take time to learn it you'll love one. When I say learn it, I am talking about how much force to use and the angle to drive nails.
Palm nailers are very powerful and they can bend even a 16 penny nail with no trouble if you force them or aren't holding it straight. For $30, it isn't like buying a table saw that you don't like... ----- Original Message ----- From: WESLEY BURDEN To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, May 30, 2009 4:20 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] an email from wesley with a question about palm nailers Good afternoon list: I am in the process of purchasing a palm nailer and i was wondering can i use it for any application? I will be using it mainly for framing, roofing, and putting down decking for the floor and sheathing for the walls. I saw one at harbor freight for 30 dollars and it was by central numatics. I was wondering would i be able to use it for all three applications that i will be doing? It says it can drive 3d nails to 60d nails and that it can drive up to 8 gage nails so i should be able to use it for all three applications right. wesley from new jersey [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
