I did buy a container of chain oil. I understand that they are automatic, I wondered though if there is something else I need to do to insure or even know that it is operating.
I expect the manual was left aside in the store. See what is available in your local area, buy the correct oil the first time and problems like oilers not working because of incorrect oil being used should be eliminated. Dale if you never received a User's Manual go back to the Point of Sale and ask for one. I would say it is illegal to sell something like a chain Saw without a Users and Safety Manual accompanying that Sale.
