Andy, I have used one  maybe not the same model but the one we use 
every year  is a rental from a local grocery store. it does one fine 
job as long as there is no dog  or cat toys or little kid toys laying 
around you can do a great job and sometimes I am told it is better 
that we are blind to find the amount of dirt  that thing can pull out 
of the carpets and  we use  a  pretty expensive vac. on a regular 
basis. Lee
