Responding to Terry's off list questions, since he had questions I need to
answer
I figured others might too.

The antenna is mounted vertically with the reflecters on the side away from
the transmitters. A line drawn through the thin dimention of the board
from it's middle should aim at the source.

I agree the dimentions don't add up, I just measured up from the bottom end
and estimated the free remainder at the top. I'll have to go
home tonight and actually measure the free end more carefully. However
the element spacings, 5-1/4 inches are probably the only dimentions that are
even close to critical along with the element length and angles. My wife
has seen even the width between the mounting points, thus the spacing
of the feeder wires, vary up to an inch.

There are also designs for Two bay" units for longer distances, if enough folks
want those detailed, we'll check it out.

Hey Tom:

Thanks for the discription of the antenna. I do have a question though about
the antenna's placement.

Are you saying that the antenna is to be mounted virtically with the reflecters
facing the transmitting station and the opend ends
of the V elements facing away? If so, I can see why you said the antenna looks
like it sees the sky.

Also, I am not clear on the measurements. The plans call for a 22" board. You
will have 2" on one end and 1" left on the other.
So, 2+5 1/4 + 5 1/4 + 5 1/4 + 1 is 18 3/4 not 22. Am I missing something? I
have 3 1/2" unaccounted for.

Many Thanks:
Terry
