Just to clarify, the "V's" spread outwards from one 4 by 22 inch surface of the
board, the reflectors are mounted to the other surface so they're only seperated
from the "V's" by 3/4Ths inch.  The feeders don't touch because you bend one
up a bit where they cross.

Quality of wire is of no importance to this kind of thing at all, except
for corosion which is more easilly solved with a little spray paint than by
using expensive wire.  There would be only microamps
of current flow if that and so wire resistance is totally insignifficant,
as it almost always is in anything but very high power systems.

the darned thing is supposed to be cheap if you want to spend money
buy a commercial antenna.
