The shop is really coming along. The ceiling and wall paneling is
installed. I used 1/2 inch plywood for the wall paneling. We are now in
the middle of filling the cracks and sanding prior to painting. We looked
at possible flooring which will go in after the painting is complete. The
flooring guy at Lowe's showed us something he called high density vinyl.
Each tile is 12 by 12 by 1/8 inch and must weigh more than a pound. A box
of them contains 45 tiles and it was all I could do to lift it an inch off
the shelf in the store. The cost is 69 cents per square. The man said that
by the time you buy the glue that goes up to 80 cents a square foot. It is
made by Armstrong. It is described as standard Excelon vinyl composition
tile. Imperial texture. There is no interlocking edge. You just paint the
glue on the subfloor and butt the tiles edge to edge. It doesn't seem to
have a lot of flexibility. It feels like the stuff that my dad used to call
asphalt tile. I haven't bought any of it yet. Opinions are requested.

Regards.
