Actually, since I've made some changes around the house, my annual 
electric bill is probably a bit less than 400 bucks a year.  Closer to 
$350.  Yep, less than 30 bucks a month on average.

I pay very roughly 18 cents a KWH if you include generation charges, 
distribution charges, taxes, and fees.  The price sort of drops the more 
you use since some of the fees are fixed amounts and not proportional to 
how much electricity you use.

And, my electric bills are a bit high compared to other places in the 
country.  When I lived in Seattle Washington, electrons were so cheap that 
I only got billed every other month instead of every month.
