That's what I don't like about that style of desk.  I don't know what the
manufacturers were thinking.
You've got a good idea.  You will need some forced air flow to make this
situation work.

Along with the updating of the computer room, Karen purchased a new computer
table. I had planned on building  one next year however this unit was too
good to pass up. Now for the cooling problem. There is a place for the tower
that has a door in front. The other day my grandson was playing games for a
while and the door was closed when the computer was on. I could not believe
the amount of heat that built up in that compartment. I wonder if I
installed a muffin fan on the back of the compartment to exhaust the heat
would prevent it from becoming too hot. I told everyone to make sure that
the door is open when the computer is turned on.
