Probably depending on accellerometers. that might work at speed because the speed at 90 degrees to gravity would show up well in accelleration as the course changed
Doesn't work at walking speed. Several people including Mike May's company have tried walking speed inertial nav systems and found that walking speed is not detectable in the "noise' of gravity and general vibration.
