The main thing I hate about a corner lot is winter snow. A bad winter and
you die trying to keep the walks clean. The snow gets plowed in on them and by
law you must have them clean within 24 hours. A couple storms in a row and one
feels like giving up.
Today I got some more oak trees trimmed with help. I gave instructions
and my son-in-law and his brother took the tools and had fun. I gave a hand
from time to time to keep them out of trouble till they got the hang of it.
They were not big on safety when starting so instructions were needed.
I moved on and drilled a hole in the brick face and concrete for the dryer
vent. I had my duct tools along so I fabricated lengths of 4 inch pipe needed
to get where I had to go. With help it took 3 hours start to finish.
My son-in-law asked if I could stay for a whole week to just show him
things. I guess I'll go down to Baltimore and stay a whole week around labor
day holiday. I'll hop the train and they can pick me up there.
I really do have a wonderful daughter and son-in-law and I would do
anything for them.
