The other day I watched a little of diy. They were planning on using some decorative tacks around a project. The way that they evenly spaced them was pretty neat. They took a piece of elastic material and poked the tacks through right next to each other. Then they stretched the elastic against the project. By stretching it perfectly made each tack the same distance apart. Then they tapped in the tacks and pulled the elastic away before finishing.
