Aloha Matt,
Google says:
* Prestone Silicone Lubricant is a high viscosity formula
designed to lubricate all types of mechanical and household
equipment. Great for use on metal, ...
A post from one site I clicked on:
I found this in a cabinet in my house. My dad uses it for fixing
things around the house. I was wondering if it can be used for
airsoft guns. I know that some lubricants, although it says its
silicone, are not good to use.
Label says:
DANGER: Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Use in well
ventilated area. CONTAINS: Hexane (CAS 110-54-3), Propane (CAS
74-98-6), Isobutane (CAS 75-28-5), n-Butane (CAS-106-97-8), and
Silicone (CAS 63148-62-9).
I'm not a scientist so I don't know if any of these materials are
harmful to airsoft guns. But I am sure there are some on these boards
that know. Thanks.
[edit] I forgot to show what it says above the contents label:
Prestone Silicone Lubricant is a high viscosity formula designed to
lubricate all types of mechanical and household equipment. Great for
use on metal, vinyl, leather rubber, canvas, plastic and wood
surfaces. It is excellent for lubricating drawers, doors, windows,
garage doors and more. It also helps waterproof ignition systems and
preserve rubber weather stripping.
