I know they used to say do something like the salt thing with plastic 
flowers...but are you sure it works with silk?

  If you have something too big to fit into a bag, take the item out to 
  the garage and use a blow-dryer on it.
  I've done both of these things and they really work. A big leaf bag 
  will hold a pretty good sized item.
