I have one of those beeping water levels, but for some reason it didn't occur to me to try using it. I'll have to use some kind of offset measurement since I need to measure very close to the floor.
Lenny, I like your idea of holding the transponder unit up, then bringing the tube up until it beeps, then mark the tube at the same position as the mark on the transponder. That makes it pretty blind friendly. Lee, my basement floor slopes dramatically toward the center, I already know that.
