hi, i have a shallow well jet pump in my basement. the last 2 days the relay has been hanging up. meaning it runs for a long time but if i tap on the relay box it will shut off. or when you run water the pressure will drop to nothing and the pump does not turn on. again if i tap on it, it fires right up.
my question is can i use a little spray like wd40 on it. i have some other stuff that says it can be used on battery terminals to prevent corrosion. so i guess its conductive. the last time i had this problem i just put on a new relay box. but don't have the bucks at the moment and its hard to take a shower and tap the box grin. thanks Jim in Minnesota. and no its not frozen yet.
