I used to use an electric stapler doing speaker fabrics, before I found a good way to use hot glue. Work with it, learn it. Probably good for medium to light woods as the harder woods will give you a proud staple with a dent in the middle that you'll have to screwdrvier home with a few taps of a hammer. The benefit is that you don't have to apply great pressure on a big handle and have it move from where you want it. Just the tap of a finger.
