Terry, That was my first choice, remove the trim, strip it, and put it back. Teresa didn't like that idea, she thought it would be more work, and that there was a possibility of breaking some of the trim and needing to replace it. Personally, after seeing how difficult it was to strip it, I think just replacing it all would have been the easiest of the choices.
