Lee Valley sells T track and miter track which fit each other. It would be a
simple matter to drill a hole through the bottom of the miter track, slide the
T track into the miter track with the slot down to the bottom. Then a T nut and
bolt through a toggle clamp so you need only press the toggle down to lock or
raise it to unlock the measure. All parts are available from Lee Valley.

  I have not searched out to see if I could find cams on their own, but I am
  sure they are out there somewhere. They are used in everything from
  camera tripods, to ski poles, so someone must be selling the component
  parts somewhere.;
