you know i figured out something. on all of the nonrechargable batteries i have on the flat end it is not flat. there is a dimple in the center a little dent. now on all my rechargeable batteries the end is perfectly flat no dent. well maybe a little indented ring around the out side. but that's how i tell my rechargables.
