I do not agree with this however I can now understand the reluctance of selling some items to blind individuals. I was talking to a friend at the local hardware store and mentioned that some sales people do not want to sell power tools to the blind. He told me that it is not necessarily because you are blind. A few years ago a salesman in a department store sold something to an individual who was mentally incompetent. The individual got hurt and the family filed a suit against the store and salesman. It was settled out of court. Because of that some sales people are reluctant to sell to anyone that they believe could have a problem operating the machinery.
