I think someone was asking about a talking weather station recently. This is more of a talking weather forecast broadcaster or something like that, but woot.com has the LaCrosse audio Weather Forecast station for 18 bucks plus 5 bucks shipping today.
I have no idea how much information is spoken, or if it is possible for a blind person to set it up. It seems to imply that it can speak news headlines, sports, the weather, entertainment news, blah blah blah. I can imagine that it must speak a fair amount of information as the lacrosse site shows an upcoming model that will read your email to you. For someone who likes toys, it might be worth 23 bucks to see what this thing can do.
