We got some new quick connectors for water hoses, at Lowes. We had some from Harbor Freight but they had a little bit of play so the new ones work better. They are plastic but so far, so good. They even have a shut off, so one doesn't have to shut off the water at the faucet to change to a nozzle or sprinkler. You can configure them either way but we got the ones that have the connector on the hose, rather than having the connector on a sprinkler or nozzle.
