Some have asked if there are cord winders that work without twisting the cord. For my 100' cord, I have a winder that is round with a rotating center. The outer frame is fixed and the interior rotates with a knob. It also has a notch that allows a portion of the female end to protrude for access to an outlet. This portion is stationary allowing the remaining cord to be unwound and rewound as needed from the rotating center. It is sturdy plastic type material and I have had it a long time but I assume similar devices are readily available at good hardware, big box or garden shops. Hope this makes sense and all just FWIW.
