If you can't find a drip outside of the machine, you will have to access the inside of the machine to check for leaks. You will have to check your model of machine and see if you can determine where the machine access is. On my old Maytag's, there were two screws located near the bottom of the front panel, that made access to the inside of the machines easy. Each machine is different, however.
Once you gain entry, I would check a couple of areas. Often hose clamps are used on the water lines inside the machine, that carry the water to the actual wash drum. Check these hoses and make sure you haven't lost a clamp or have a hole in a line. It would also be a good idea to run your fingers around the bottom of the drum if you have a top loader machine. What you're looking for is rust areas, where the drum may have developed leaks. These are usually very easy to find. If you can find the leak, we should be able to assist you with the repair. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jennifer Jackson To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2010 4:47 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] leaking washing machine Hello Again, My washing machine is leaking. If I put a load into soak the water leaks out of the washing machine and all over my floor. When just a regular load runs it does leak a little water, but only a small puddle in front of the machine and maybe under it. I am really hoping this is an easy repair. Easy enough to do myself. Where do I start? Jennifer [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
