The horse weighs 43 pounds so there is definitely some heft to it. but it makes it feel pretty solid. I haven't done anything with it yet, short of taking it out of the box and setting it up and trying to get used to it's parts.
One review I read said to make sure you don't try and clamp it with the switch in the unlock position. I am not exactly sure how the whole clamp thing works yet, so I am going to have Teresa take a look at the manual just to make sure I know what locked and unlocked means. There is a slide switch on the front, but from 30 seconds of toying with it, I'm not sure exactly what that switch does. I was able to slide the jaws, by hand, with the switch in either position. I think it has to do with the foot peddle though. It comes with a CD / DVD, I brought the disk to work with me today, but don't hold much hope that it will offer anything useful to a blink. I'll give it a shot and let you know what I find. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University. E-Mail: [email protected] Tel: (412) 268-9081
