Well, it is repaired with 8 #6 sds screws. I had to have Karen help to center punch for me since I can no longer swing a hammer. She then asked if she could try to put the screws in. I showed her how and she had a little fun. To clean up the metal filings I again used my plastic bag and magnet trick. Went over everything to attract the steel filings to the magnet. Then at the trash can dropped the bag.
