thanks to all who answered this. In my many sections of fence we put up years ago I was predrilling holes and using lag bolts which I put up with a socket wrench and it proved usefull when replacing a section of fence.. However down many sections someone descided it was much easier to use 3 inch dry wall screws. oops big mistake . but alas. one good thing is originally we paid $32 and change for each section and two new sections we just bought , even pressure treated for just $24. for once something came down in price.
