FYI: We received a bug report from a Monaco 
<https://github.com/microsoft/monaco-editor> (a browser based code editor 
that powers VS code) user about the breakage of the cursor positioning (
crbug.com/1426792). After some investigation, it turn out that Monaco 
editor is relying on serialised value of the font property, but it is reset 
since before doing that they are setting font-feature-settings value to 
non-initial value. Firefox and Safari have the same serialisation 
behaviour, although cursor positioning is working correctly on FF since 
Monaco is using different code path for it. (details in the bug report)
