I suspect that won't help, but there's an experimental/tentative API being proposed for testdriver.js here: https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/pull/43773 Would that allow this feature to be tested more fully? That would allow checking how tree structure is affected, so we could test at least one more attribute! I can't tell what other properties will be exposed in the tree, so I'm not sure about the rest.
