Why not to reuse `widget_timeline.html` in dashboard plugin ? Since the
beginning that was a design goal i.e. to reuse the widget templates for
views . That's what they encourage , different levels of reusability and
consistent look and feel across the site . We've done such things before
too , afaicr for query and report web views .
So in a few words , I'd suggest you to spend your time wisely by reusing
and/or improve `widget_timeline.html` in dashboard plugin ... instead of
maintaining two copies .
I leave it to you to decide .
