Hey, On the topic of trying to get more people interested in Bloodhound, we should get involved in GSoC. I've been a GSoC mentor in the past (for Subversion) and can help.
I'm sure there are any number of tasks that can be worked on without deep knowledge of Trac internals and would take a 6-8 week project to complete.
