On October 16 Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, the institution which awarded Dr. Stanley the honorary doctorate in 1976, will host a concert featuring Ricky Skaggs, the Del McCoury Band, Mountain Heart and the Reedy Creek Band. The concert will be a tribute to Dr. Ralph, his career, and his tremendous influence on bluegrass music. All proceeds from the event will go toward establishing the Dr. Ralph Stanley Endowed Scholarship in Music. Dr. Stanley will be the honored guest at the event.
