My Great-Uncle, George Osborne,
was the opening act for the Stanley Brothers, and played with them on the
WCYB Farm and Fun Time.
I told one of my friends at my High School,
and he just about laughed me out of the building. So, I began a
search to prove it. However, I can't find any recordings or records
or anything about those days, to prove that he really was. Can
anybody help me?

I was born in Glade Spring, VA and grew up around
Abingdon and Bristol area. I remember George Osborne being on Farm and Fun
Time, but I don't remember when. I left the area in Jan. 1954 and completed
more than twenty years in the military. He must have been on prior to that
date. Merry Christmas.
