Hi,I'm a distant cousin of Ralph's..my grandmother was a Crabtee and her mother was a Stanley before she married a Crabtree. I saw your email and obtained this information from a book my aunt, Fannie Lane Steele, co-wrote with Ina Jean Dotson. The book is called "The Crabtree Stanely Collection...A Memorial." It contains Ralphs family history all the way back to immigrant days, along with some wonderful pictures of his ancestors, he and Carter, and his parents.
